Topfighter Dogi • Kōdona

Kōdona means “advanced” — and that is exactly what this uniform represents.

The Topfighter Dogi “Kōdona” combines every feature an advanced kimono should have for disciplines such as karate, jiu-jitsu, kendo, hapkido, and more. Made from 100% canvas cotton at 14oz with a weight of 380 GSM (grams per square meter), it uses what is widely regarded as the best type of cotton for a durable dogi designed for intensive use.

The canvas is woven in a fine micro-pattern, giving it a smooth, comfortable feel while still producing that distinctive “snap” sound practitioners value in a high-quality uniform.

The sleeves, pant legs, and bottom hem of the jacket are all reinforced with ten rows of stitching, giving the Topfighter Dogi “Kōdona” its outstanding look and feel. The inside of the collar and the inner waistband of the trousers are lined with a breathable mesh panel, ensuring optimal moisture management and preventing the fabric from sticking or causing discomfort during heavy perspiration.

For the design of the Kōdona, we opted for a Japanese size chart. This means the sleeves and pant legs are slightly shorter, the jacket is a few centimeters longer than standard, and the side slits vary between 30 cm and 40 cm depending on size. These wider side slits allow the jacket to maintain its shape during deep stances, high kicks, or groundwork.

The trousers are fitted with durable cotton drawstrings, allowing for a fully adjustable fit while ensuring they stay securely in place during training.
